What is included in the tour price?
Every tour includes round-trip transportation, a bilingual guide and personal attention. Buggy and ATV tours also include helmets and a beach stop at Playa Teco where you can swim and shower. Food and drinks at the beach are ordered on the spot, and goggles ($5) and photos or videos are optional extras. Just show up — we handle everything else.
Do you pick up at the cruise port?
Yes. We pick you up right at Amber Cove or Taíno Bay, or at your hotel in the Puerto Plata area. Tell us your ship's all-aboard time when you book: we plan your tour backwards from it and guarantee you're back before it sails.
How do I book and pay?
Book online and either pay in full or reserve with a 20% deposit — the balance is due on arrival, in US dollars. Cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay are accepted. Prefer to chat first? Message us on WhatsApp and we'll set it up for you. You can also book through our verified Viator listing.
What is your cancellation policy?
Bookings made through our Viator listing can be cancelled free up to 24 hours before the tour. For direct bookings, message us on WhatsApp as early as you can and we'll find the best option for you. If severe weather stops a tour, we reschedule or refund you in full.
Can children join the tours?
Yes! Children can ride as passengers from age 4 when seated with an adult. Drivers of buggies and ATVs must be 12 or older and need a parent or guardian's consent. Not sure what suits your kids? Message us and we'll recommend the right tour.
Do I need a driver's license for the buggy or ATV?
No license required! Our guides give you a full safety briefing before every ride. No experience needed — our buggies are automatic, so just bring your sense of adventure.
Are the tours private?
Yes — every tour is just your group, from 2 up to 20 people depending on the tour. Bigger groups ride together as a convoy with our guides. Contact us for groups larger than 20.
What happens if it rains?
Most tours continue in light rain — it's part of the adventure! If there is a severe storm we'll reschedule or give you a full refund.
What should I wear and bring?
Wear comfortable closed-toe shoes and clothes you don't mind getting muddy. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a change of clothes for after the beach stop. We provide helmets and safety gear.
Is the Puerto Plata cable car (Teleférico) open?
The cable cars that used to go up Isabel de Torres are out of service, but the mountain is open and you can drive to the top. We can add it as a stop on a private city tour. Just ask when you book.

Waiver Required
All riders must sign a liability waiver before getting on any vehicle. This is a quick process done on-site before the tour begins.
Helmets Provided
Safety helmets are provided for all riders at no extra cost. Your safety is our top priority on every trail.
On-Site Shop
We have an on-site shop where you can rent or purchase goggles ($5), buy face cloth masks to protect against mud and dust, and pick up souvenirs to remember your adventure!
Age Requirement
Drivers of buggies and ATVs must be 12 or older, with a parent or guardian's consent. Younger children are welcome as passengers (from age 4) seated with an adult.
No License Needed
No driver's license is required to ride our buggies or ATVs. Our guides will give you a full safety briefing before the tour.
What to Wear
Wear comfortable closed-toe shoes and clothes you don't mind getting muddy. Bring sunscreen and sunglasses. Don't worry about a camera — we've got you covered!
Photos & Videos Available
Our team captures your adventure throughout the tour. Photos and videos are available for purchase so you can relive every muddy, splashy moment! You're also welcome to bring your own camera or GoPro.

Arrive Early
If you're meeting us at our base, please arrive 15 minutes before your tour start time for registration, waiver signing, and safety briefing. With pickup, be ready 10 minutes early — your driver will hold a sign with your name.
